Flashback Theater Co. (FbTC) is taking their summer programming on the road with The Artist Showcase Tour! The tour will feature Flashback veteran artists singing songs and performing monologues; sharing the magic of FbTC with the surrounding region. The 2026 Artist Showcase Tour will stop in Russell, Wayne, and Pulaski counties. Each performance will be free and open to the public.
FbTC is the only theater of its kind in the region. The company is well known for its professional programming in Somerset. As the company looks towards the future, it is committed to reaching artists and audiences throughout the Lake Cumberland region with a vision for theater that speaks to the soul. Several of Flashback’s veteran performing artists travel to Flashback from outside Pulaski County, including Producing Artistic Director Sommer Winstead, who grew up in Russell County.
Additionally, hundreds of people flock to Flashback shows from surrounding counties each year. This showcase tour is Flashback’s way of saying thank you for the support, and continuing to build strong relationships across Kentucky. Whether you’re already a fan of FbTC’s work in the region, or are brand new to their heartfelt and ambitious style of making theater, the Artist Showcase Tour is for you! Catch the theater bug, right in your own backyard!
About the Performance
The Artist Showcase tour is a Cabaret style performance. Each tour stop features a unique lineup of performers sharing scenes, songs, and monologues from the popular theater canon. You may have caught one of these selections during FbTC’s 12th Annual Season Announcement Cabaret. This year’s Cabaret theme, “Lighten Up,” highlights selections that inspire joy and inclusion for all.
