Flashback Theater Co. (FbTC) is holding a special audition for the role of McDuff in the upcoming May production Fleetwood Macbeth. In person audition slots are available on December 9th, 2025. Video submissions received by the same date will also be considered.

McDuff is a strange and chatty FCC rep with a tragic backstory and Cole Porter dreams. He is an awkward government bureaucrat and a moralistic square.  The role was previously cast from season auditions but new conflicts have changed the ability of the original cast member to participate, creating an additional opportunity for local community members to be considered for a season role.

Individual audition/interview appointments for this role are available Tuesday, December 9th from 6pm – 8pm. If you are not able to attend this audition time, you may elect to submit a video audition by Dec. 9th instead.  Audition appointments are 10 minute slots that can be reserved in advance by following this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F094AADAF2DA1FC1-60784704-mcduff

If you need the alternate audition option, please email a copy of your resume and an unlisted/private video link of your audition to: sommer@flashbacktheater.co. Be sure your resume includes direct contact information.

Actors who already auditioned for this season may request to be considered for this role, and will still need to prepare a selection of the required music cut as well as provide updated rehearsal conflicts.

Mac’s girlfriend Lady is certain he has the talent to do it, if he can only find the guts to do whatever it takes to seize the throne. Featuring an outstanding lineup of Fleetwood Mac hits – you’ve never seen Shakespeare’s Macbeth like this before!  This production contains adult situations including innuendo, the use of explicit language, and a depiction of suicide.
